We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager to oversee the performance of our machinery, equipment, facilities, and engineering team. This leadership role ensures operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across our company’s technical functions.

Key Responsibilities

Machinery and Equipment

  • Ensure production lines operate effectively to maximize productivity and product quality.
  • Develop and execute preventive and routine maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
  • Manage and maintain spare-parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors for equipment specification, purchasing, and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance needs.
  • Research and recommend mechanical improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, lead, and motivate the mechanical staff.
  • Oversee day-to-day assignments and schedules of the mechanical team.
  • Ensure appropriate “after-hours” support is available for machinery needs.

Vehicle Management

  • Coordinate vehicle service and maintenance with outside repair facilities.
  • Oversee in-house completion of minor mechanical repairs on trucks and trailers.
  • Provide recommendations for new truck and trailer acquisitions.

Facility Oversight

  • Manage and oversee the maintenance of all three company-owned buildings.

Operations Support

  • Recommend operational improvements to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Assist in product development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to strengthen product performance.
  • Support proper and efficient use of raw materials.

Safety and Compliance

  • Partner with external safety consultants to ensure a safe working environment for employees.
  • Serve as the primary company contact for OSHA compliance and safety initiatives.

Strategic and Industry Engagement

  • Contribute to the company’s long-term strategy development and execution.
  • Stay informed on trends and developments in the nonwoven industry, including competitors, customers, and emerging markets.
  • Assist in the overall leadership and direction of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in mechanical engineering, maintenance, and facilities management.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and foster employee growth.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance best practices.
  • Manufacturing knowledge in the non-woven industry is required.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in handling nonwoven machinery.
