About the Role:

The Painter/Drywall Associate plays a critical role in preparing and finishing interior and exterior surfaces to meet high-quality standards. This position involves applying paint, stains, and coatings, as well as installing, finishing, and repairing drywall to ensure smooth and durable surfaces. The associate will collaborate closely with Maintenace Supervisor to meet project timelines and specifications. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to deliver aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound results. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall appearance and integrity of our residential apartments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in painting and drywall installation or finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, or specifications.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in painting techniques or drywall installation.
• Experience with residential construction projects.
• Knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and drywall materials.
• Ability to operate spray painting equipment and power tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and patching holes or cracks in drywall and other materials.
• Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Install drywall panels, tape joints, apply mud, and sand surfaces to achieve a smooth finish.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and meet deadlines.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
