Qualifications: 

• Teacher Certification Preferred but not required.
• Must have Substitute Certificate from DESE.

Pay Schedule:  The first 10 consecutive days would be paid at a rate of $120 per day.  Long term substitute pay begins on the 11^th consecutive day of the assignment, at $152 per day. 

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Other duties may be assigned.

• Follows the regular plans and schedule as closely as possible.
• Try to maintain a neat, orderly attractive environment.

• Leave a statement of the work covered, together with any comment about special difficulty or outstanding cooperation, and work finished.

• Keep accurate attendance records.
• Maintain good classroom discipline.
• Leave equipment in proper place.
• Refrain from discussing teachers’ methods or ideas in or out of the classroom.
• Refer requests from parents for student progress to the teacher.
• Check teachers’ mailbox for bulletins, announcements and special arrangements.
• Supervise students at all times.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all students and parental matters.
• Comply with district approved curriculum and adhere to adopted Board of Education policies.
