Early Years Locality Services Manager. 

Salary: upto £51,100 per annum depending on experience.

Location: Homebased (preference is Central England close to transport hubs as this role covers England and Scotland locations.

Contract: Permanent – 37 hours per week.

A bit about the role    

In this permanent role as Early Years Locality Services Manager, you will strategically lead a range of Action for Children’s Early Years and Childcare services and provide line management to Early Years Managers. As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in driving exceptional performance and ensure high-quality and safe delivery that helps us achieve our goal to provide the best start in life.   

How you'll help to create brighter futures   

  • You will manage and lead a team of Early Years Nursery Managers to provide services that meet regulatory and organisational requirements.  
  • Promoting the highest standards of safeguarding practice through leading and managing processes and action around safeguarding. 
  • Taking a lead role to promote collaborative relationships with existing and potential commissioners. 
  • Providing effective leadership, management to implement change and transition in clusters, including start up, growth, closure, and reshaping of services. 
  • Holding overall responsibility for planning and deployment of resources. 
  • Creating and managing budgets. 
  • Deputise for the Operations Director.

  • Minimum Early Years Qualification at Level 5.  
  • Demonstrable evidence of continued management training and development. 
  • Experience of leading, motivating and managing Early Years managers to deliver quality and high performing Early Years provision. 
  • Experience of applying service improvements through the workforce and addressing challenges within the management of people.  
  • Applying financial and commercial acumen and awareness. 
  • Building and developing effective networks, relationships, partnerships. 
  • Experience of ensuring effective safeguarding practice and process is applied. 
  • Experience of building and growing and retaining services.
