Your Role
As Manager, Cyber Security Architecture Practice, you’ll lead a team of security architects to design and evolve security architecture across the organisation. You’ll set strategic direction for the practice, ensuring governance, and alignment between security practices with enterprise goals and emerging threats. Your leadership will enable secure, scalable, and resilient digital experiences for customers, colleagues, and partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead & Develop Team: Manage and mentor the Security Architecture team to foster a high-performing, collaborative, and learning-focused environment.
- Define Standards & Strategy: Establish and evolve security architecture practices aligned with enterprise goals, industry benchmarks, and governance frameworks.
- Drive Innovation & Quality: Use AI and automation to enhance Secure@Design processes, ensure consistent quality, and track key performance indicators.
- Engage & Collaborate: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to solve complex security challenges and influence strategic outcomes.
- Ensure Compliance & Readiness: Align architecture with regulatory standards and threat intelligence, while planning workforce capability to meet future demands.
This is a permanent role with exciting opportunities for growth and learning, open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne).
About You
- Extensive experience in security and technology leadership, including team management and consulting experience.
- Proven success in leading security professionals in large, federated organisations—Financial Services experience preferred.
- Expertise in Information Security Risk Management, Strategy, and Program Delivery.
- Strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or a Master’s/MBA in a related field.
- Active involvement in professional cyber security communities.
- Experience working with government, regulatory bodies, and security agencies.
- Strategic mindset with insight into digital transformation and evolving security threats.
