Sigma Defense is seeking a Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect/Tech Lead to develop, document, advise, and assist in building and maintaining an Azure cloud environment for the DoD. The candidate will be the technical lead of team of professionals across multiple disciplines working together to build the new environment. The Architect will have DevSecOps Engineers, Software Engineers, and Cybersecurity Engineers to assist with building. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical vision with the capability of relaying that vision to the team. They will work closely with the team to develop tasks and help to ensure they are able to complete them. They will serve as the central technical lead working with vendors and subcontractors to implement new capabilities.
The ideal candidate is willing to work with a hybrid workforce and has strong interpersonal and management skills required to plan, direct, and execute the tasks required for the team.

Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining large-scale cloud initiatives in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Management experience working with hybrid teams.
- Must have DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Experience with PI (Program Increment) Planning is preferred.
- Knowledge of AF IC security requirements is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Programming, or related field of study.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.

Essential Job Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)
- Responsible for design and development of Microsoft Azure Cloud environments across multiple security classifications.
- Document ongoing efforts and be able to present current status to customer.
- Coach technical teams to deliver secure and high-quality products and drive continuous improvement.
- Apply extensive technical expertise across various disciplines to include Software Engineering, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Administration.
- Facilitate cross-team technical coordination and foster strong collaboration across the program.
- Responsible for projects and processes spanning multiple professional areas of expertise.
- Responsible for overseeing and assisting in the technical implementation, reviewing, and delegating work.
- Work with subcontractors and vendors to improve project outcomes.
- Serve as the on-site technical lead for the team, interfacing with government customers and being capable of articulating information in either complex or simple terms depending on the audience.
Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000 annually.
