Audio Technician - Cirque Du Soleil - On-Call presso Treasure Island

Specific Job Functions:

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of the audio system and equipment.
• Supervise the installation of audio equipment in the theater in cooperation with the Head of Sound.
• Learn to operate the sound control board during training, staging, rehearsals and performances.
• Work as a team member in the Audio department and in collaboration with: Carpentry, Properties, Electrics, Automation, Rigging, Wardrobe and Stage Management.
• Assist in the development of the stage management log (sound) and prepare the sound plan.
• Maintain show sound archives.
• Make technical adaptations according to requirements set by the Head of Sound.
• Ensure the safety and security of equipment and installations at all times.
• Participate on all company required training classes including; OSHA 10, Fall Protection, Heart Saver, Lock out/Tag out etc…
• Assist with the Load In, Performance and Load Out of all events inside the Treasure Island Show Room / Mystere Theater.
• Participate in emergency procedure training and practices
• All other duties as assigned by the Head of Audio.

Qualifications:

• Experience in working in the field of live stage performance, preferably with a large-scale production.
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour General Industry Course required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent needed.
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of automated systems and AutoCAD, preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of leading-edge sound technology.
