Coordinate cross-functional team member activities with specific roles and responsibilities to the project; oversee interior trim programs consisting of planning and directing overall program activities to meet program requirements; responsible for the overall direction of the program from award of business throughout the life of the product; coordinate engineering and manufacturing department within the company and the customers during launch of new programs in solving design and manufacturing issues; maintain and monitor detailed program timing, launch costs, and financial plan to ensure that the programs are delivered within the planned budget; serve as primary interface between the customer and company, and meet the requirements with respect to time, quality, and budget; ensure customer requirements which were quoted at initiation are delivered; coordinate the implementation of new design, manufacturing, and engineering concepts as they are implemented on the manufacturing floor; lead the team and communicate any critical road blocks to company management and develop alternate solutions; ensure flawless launch of the program at the manufacturing and customer plants; conduct workload analysis of the program team and delegation of work; and forecast and manage continuous changes in product design and volumes.
Requirements
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
