Medical Social Worker presso Cabell Huntington Hospital / St Mary's

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Social Worker for our ECCC Social Services department. 

The Oncology Social Worker reports to and receives duty assignments from the Manager of Medical and Surgical Oncology.  The Oncology Social Worker will work closely with patients and their families to ensure adjustment to illness by addressing both psychosocial and practical needs of persons living with cancer and their loved ones, focusing on clinical social work as the core of professional practice.  Clinical social work services consist of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, groups, and crisis assessment and intervention.  The Oncology Social Worker will function as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team to act as a conduit between patients and clinical staff to facilitate optimum response to treatment goals.
