L&D and Neonatal Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position  

Location: Roswell, NM 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 4x12s Nights 

Pay: $2851/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor & Delivery and Neonatal Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care and support for mothers, newborns, and families throughout the birthing process and immediate postnatal period. The RN will assist during labor and delivery, monitor both mother and infant, and provide specialized care in the neonatal nursery. The ideal candidate is experienced in obstetric and neonatal nursing, attentive, and dedicated to family-centered care. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. 

  • Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart patterns, and neonatal status. 

  • Assist physicians and midwives with deliveries and obstetric procedures. 

  • Deliver specialized care for newborns in the nursery, including feeding, monitoring, and early interventions. 

  • Educate and support mothers, families, and caregivers throughout childbirth and newborn care. 

  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately. 

  • Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Active RN license in NM 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications 

  • COVID vaccine, recent TB test 

  • Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery or Neonatal Nursery nursing experience
