Compliance & Safety
- Ensure DOT, state, and federal compliance for drivers and equipment.
- Manage driver qualification files (CDL, medical cards, MVR, background checks).
- Track roadside inspections, violations, and SMS data; provide reporting to leadership.
- Advise Training on compliance-related updates; conduct periodic fleet compliance training.
- Support accident response, root cause analysis, and proactive driver intervention for repeat violations.
Fleet Administration
- Administer fleet management software, ensuring updates, accurate data, and utilization tracking.
- Control registrations, titles, permits, IRP/IFTA, and HVUT filings.
- File quarterly fuel taxes and biannual MCS-150 renewals.
- Oversee asset procurement (lease/purchase), import/export logistics, and vendor relationships.
- Report fleet performance, costs, and utilization to leadership.
- Incorporate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in fleet decisions; manage resale/disposal policies.
Maintenance & Operations
- Establish and monitor branch preventive maintenance programs and KPIs.
- Ensure accurate asset inspection, maintenance, and repair records.
- Leverage contractors and service providers nationally for cost-effective, quality service.
- Use telematics/GPS to monitor vehicle performance and driver behavior; coach as needed.
- Draft and deliver fleet/maintenance reports to improve performance and reduce downtime.
- Provide best practices for predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
Driver Support & Engagement
- Conduct daily compliance audits using fleet management systems.
- Train drivers for roadside breakdowns, accidents, and emergency protocols.
- Develop incentive programs for safe driving and preventive maintenance.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience in fleet management and DOT compliance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of federal/state transportation regulations
- Proficiency in fleet software systems and reporting
Education:
High School or equivalent
Administrative Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be organized, able to multi-task and team-oriented
- Have attention to detail and be self-motivated
- Able to plan, organize and execute daily requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
