DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mortgage Compliance /Secondary Market Analyst is an entry level position that splits duties between the two roles. The position would assist in reviewing mortgage departments adherence to federal regulation, policies and procedures and agency/investor guidelines. The position also manages lock desk duties, GL account reconciliation and mortgage reporting. This includes proficiently managing pricing, reservations, interest rate risk, and execution for the purpose of increasing profits while providing a platform of quality service for bank clients.
The incumbent will:
- Review adverse action requests and disposition accordingly
- Work with external auditors and examiners to coordinate necessary documentation and responses
- Conduct HMDA LAR scrubs on mortgage loans at the end of each month
- Manage registration and lock desk for all loans. This includes portfolio loans as well as securing best effort or mandatory lock commitments with secondary market investors and tracking through loan sale
- Monitor pull through, loan change requests, program updates, lock extensions and enforcing costs associated with changes
- Work with Mortgage Division Manager to oversee secondary product development, training, and roll outs to include seeking new solutions and opportunities
- Maintain product guidelines, overlay matrices, and investor updates in an accessible format for production and operations team
- Work with post-closing team to include auditing, packaging, imaging, insuring, delivery, exception clearing, reconciling purchase advices to GL, and successful transfer of loan servicing
- Identify risks and implement controls to monitor funding turn times and avoid profit leakage
- Maintain current knowledge regarding documentation, regulations, and secondary market conditions and make recommendations to Management about risks, opportunities, and changes
- Responsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field of study preferred
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to carry out instructions, understand procedures and write correspondence
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of:
- Sustained standing and sitting
- Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor
- Frequent typing using a keyboard and/or calculator
- Occasional presentations requiring public speaking to small groups
- Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs
- Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noise
