Role Summary
Wolfe is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of intuitive, elegant, and high-performing user experiences across our consumer-facing platforms. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our digital products, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to deliver experiences that delight users and drive business outcomes.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for end-to-end design execution—from research and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes and design systems. You’ll help define the visual and interaction language of our products and ensure consistency across all touchpoints. This role is based in our Pittsburgh, PA office and requires in-person attendance five days a week.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for consumer-facing products, from concept to launch
- Conduct user research and translate insights into actionable design improvements
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
- Maintain and evolve our design system to support scalability
- Advocate for the user and champion design best practices across the organization
Impact Statement
Success in this role will directly support Wolfe’s goal to become one of the largest gift-related ecommerce sites on the internet, with a potential IPO in three years. Your work will impact millions of users and contribute to a product ecosystem approaching $600M in revenue. Key outcomes within your first 12 months include:
Lead Product Design Initiatives
- Own design for key product features and enhancements across web and mobile.
- KPIs: Feature adoption, user satisfaction, conversion rate.
Elevate UX Strategy & Execution
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions.
- KPIs: Task success rate, NPS, time-on-task.
Elevate Visual Craft & Brand Expression
- Deliver polished, on-brand UI with attention to typography, layout, color, motion and pixel perfection.
- KPIs: Design quality scores, stakeholder feedback, brand consistency.
Establish Scalable Design Systems
- Build and maintain reusable components and design patterns in Figma.
- KPIs: Design consistency, dev handoff efficiency.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Marketers to align design with business goals.
- KPIs: Stakeholder alignment, delivery velocity.
What You’ll Accomplish Early On:
- First 30 Days – Discover & Diagnose: Deliver a comprehensive audit of complex product flows, identify top conversion blockers, and establish baseline usability metrics like time-to-convert and task success rate.
- Next 60 Days – Design & Deliver: Redesign one high-impact flow, launch usability tests, and deliver updated components in Figma. Target a 20% uplift in conversion and a 10% reduction in time-to-convert.
- Final 90 Days – Optimize & Lead: Expand redesigns, run A/B tests, and improve feature velocity by 25%. Present impact metrics and lead design reviews to align future roadmap.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI, and interaction design
- Expert in Figma (including design systems), prototyping tools, and user research methodologies
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design across responsive web and mobile apps
- Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to translate complex requirements into simple, elegant solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Open to feedback from colleagues and stakeholders with a positive mindset
