Position Summary: The Outpatient Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will help to support the development, management, and operations of the organizations outpatient and contracted mental health programs. This includes staff and operations management, licensing, and relationships with referral agencies. The Outpatient Mental Health Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assigned clinical performance, clinical outcomes, documentation, staff retention, personnel training and development, and compliance with the annual budget.

RESPONSIBLITIES
- Provide direct supervision, guidance, and mentorship to clinical staff and interns, ensuring adherence to professional standards and organizational policies.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and develop individualized professional growth plans for team members.
- Oversee daily clinical operations by monitoring caseloads, documentation, and service delivery to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency.
- Provide assessment and quality therapeutic counseling services to individuals, families and groups.
- Provide case management services
- Develop individual service plans (ISP) and reviews according to current WAC requirements
- Develops and maintains working relationships with community resources that may be utilized to maintain, support, and enhance the functioning of mentally ill individuals
- Maintain all client records on a current basis and in accordance with organizational standards and state, federal, contract requirements
- Provide community consultation and education services
- Understand and complies with the legal obligations of emergency management (CPS involvement, reports to the police, etc)
- Participate in psychiatric/psychological consultation
- Obtain and maintain appropriate training and continuing education as mandated by contract requirements and DSHS
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Masters Degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or Social Work
Experience:
- Clinical Supervisor experience after 2 years of full licensure is required (15 hours state supervision required)
- Knowledgeable in alcoholism, drug addiction, and ASAM Criteria
- Knowledgeable in long-term rehabilitative processes, including awareness of the need for medical care, post-treatment crisis, relapse, and new problems arising from sobriety, etc.
- Previous management and/or supervisory experience preferred
- Have knowledge of substance use disorder and mental health programs available through the state of Washington
- Have a working understanding of supportive mental health diagnoses, interventions, and co-occurring disorders
- Understand trauma-informed care and treatment expectations
Licenses/Certificates/Registration:
- Possess a current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LISCW, LMSW) credential or equivalent, or a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as required by WAC
- Valid drivers license with a minimum of 5 years’ licensed driving experience and insurance
