Position Summary: The Process Engineer will play a critical role in evaluating, designing, and implementing business processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate the client experience. This position requires both analytical skill and the ability to partner with teams across the firm to drive sustainable change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing workflows across departments (legal, intake, operations, client services) to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Facilitate workshops, process mapping sessions, and stakeholder interviews to gather insights and drive alignment
  • Map and analyze the end-to-end journey to identify friction points and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Develop process maps, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Leverage data analysis and metrics to measure process performance and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to recommend or implement automation and system improvements.
  • Design and implement optimized processes that balance efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Lead training and change management efforts to ensure team adoption of new processes.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or operations improvement (law firm or professional services experience a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to gather, interpret, and present data
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies preferred

Physical Requirements:  

  • Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.   
  • Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.  
  • Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.  May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
  • Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.  
  • Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs. 
  • Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
