Primary Function
Under the direction of the Sr. EHS Supervisor, the EHS Technician will support the EHS team by collecting data, monitoring workplace conditions, and assisting in the implementation of environmental health and safety improvements across the site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct employee safety and environmental training programs, including proper use of PPE and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor employee compliance with safety protocols and ensure proper use of protective equipment (e.g., masks, gloves, smocks).
- Demonstrate safety equipment usage and enforce proper practices on the floor.
- Investigate safety and environmental incidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on incident investigations, inspections, and compliance findings.
- Support and maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification initiatives in partnership with EHS leadership.
- Participate in internal compliance audits and report findings to the Sr. EHS Supervisor.
- Manage documentation in the company’s EHS document portal and maintain the EHS compliance calendar.
- Inspect worksites for environmental or physical hazards affecting employee safety, health, or performance.
- Promote a culture of safety and sustainability through regular communication and training.
Qualifications
- 0–1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial safety environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- OSHA certification preferred (not required).
- Prior experience with environmental regulations (TCEQ, EPA) is a plus.
- Experience drafting EHS reports and incident documentation for regulatory bodies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to large groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of federal and state safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, TCEQ, EPA).
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and certification processes.
- Ability to develop and implement new safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with all levels of the organization.

C Shift Schedule: (Rotating biweekly schedule)
Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Week 1: 4 days on / 3 days off
Week 2: 3 days on / 4 days off
