Position Overview:

CUMULUS MEDIA | RENO, NV  In the Remote Technician role, the job duties include working as ambassador, representing the stations professionally with a cheerful outlook while providing support for station related events. Setting up and striking event equipment, assisting clients, radio personalities and account executives on-site, entertain listeners with interactive contests and activities, answer any questions listeners may have and promote whatever required by the station. You will also cross train as a Board Operator running a sound Board for sporting events, remote broadcasts, and events.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Setup remote broadcasts and events. Professionally represent the radio stations and our clients working promotional events.
• Set up/breakdowns, tents, tables, sound equipment.
• Hand out prizes and promotional material
• Take photos of events for recaps
• Be very responsible, on time, and able to think on your feet.
• Manage all technical responsibilities and assist in all logistical responsibilities of remote broadcast set-up, testing and breakdown.

 

Qualifications:
• Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels (including clients on site at events)
• Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines
• Works under the supervision of each station's Promotions Director and the Promotions Manager.
• A remote tech will work for all four Cumulus Reno radio stations as directed by the  Promotion Director.

Education and Licensing Requirements:
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license
• Preferably twenty-one or older
 
Physical/Other Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 75lbs or more
• Must be available to work weekends and nights, as necessary
