FACILITIES CUSTODIAN presso Power Drives Inc.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Objective: To play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, safety and orderliness within and outside the facility.  

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of the use of hand and power tools
• Some experience with facilities and janitorial tasks

Job Requirements:

• Must be customer service oriented
• Must be able to crouch, kneel, crawl, and climb
• Must be able to lift, pull and push a minimum of 50 pounds
• Having working knowledge of the use of hand and power tools such as floor sweepers, snow blowers, lawn and garden tools, etc.
• Assist with blood borne pathogen clean ups in accordance with OSHA requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• General cleaning and disinfecting 
• Snow removal, salt application and grounds maintenance
• Compact cardboard
• Remove trash
• Scrub floors
• Stock bathrooms with supplies, clean bathrooms as required
• Organization and disposal of skids and scrap steel
• Fill out logs and paperwork as required
• Participate in 5S activities including daily area cleanup and facility cleanup efforts
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and workplace practices
• Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required
• Other duties as assigned

This position demands physical strength, endurance. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive tasks, heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.), standing for a long period of time, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and working in a fast-paced production setting
