Job Summary­­­­­­_____________________________________________________________
The Broadway Engagement Programs Assistant will work with Broadway Engagement Program staff on day-to-day program tasks. Work will primarily be on Overture’s Broadway Engagement programs such as The Jerry Awards, Disney Musicals in Schools and Spotlight Middle School Musical Theater program. This is a part-time, variable position. Hours are not to exceed 1560 hours annually.


Roles & Responsibilities_____________________________________________________________

  • Oversee the Student Influencer program as part of The Jerrys program.
    • Includes regular virtual meetings with students and meetings with external partners and attending evening performances.
  • Work with Social Media and Editorial Content Manager to plan and post content to The Jerrys social media platforms.
  • Provide administrative support for The Jerrys & Jerry Awards Show.
    • Mailing program materials to schools, compiling application and nomination information.
    • Assist in editing final Awards lists for schools, create and print Award Certificates for Awards Show.
    • Staff ticket and certificate table in lobby during the Awards Show handing tickets to school groups and giving certificates and trophies to schools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate for this role is $20/hr. Approximately 4-10 hours per week.

Qualifications____________________________________________________________________
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 1 year working in an office setting preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

·       Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Google Suite (Docs)

·       Ability to multi-task and work independently on tasks

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk while working on a computer.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to move throughout the facility to access equipment.

 

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, temperature, and equipment.
  • Regular on-site presence is required to support operational needs, attend meetings, and respond to situations in a timely manner.
  • The role may involve occasional presence in performance or technical areas with increased activity or moderate noise levels.

 

Travel: This position is not expected to require travel.
