We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Editor - Premium Initiatives to lead the creation and execution of ambitious editorial projects across our digital platforms. This role is dedicated to building distinctive, high-impact content that elevates our brand, attracts new audiences and unlocks sponsorship opportunities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Original & Premium Content: Own and execute on original and premium content across all of ScreenRant’s entertainment verticals that respects traffic goals and engagement KPIs.
- Original Series Development: Oversee concept-to-delivery of digital and audio-visual projects across new and existing franchises including Challenge My Goat, Coffee Chats, and Debunking AI.
- Editorial Features: Commission, edit and guide premium stories such as cover features, profiles, analytical deep-dives into evergreen topics, and longform narratives.
- Interviews & Reviews: Lead production of interviews and high-quality reviews across entertainment and business-entertainment verticals. Mix junkets, exclusives, screenings and Q&A formats.
- Talent Strategy: Identify and engage top-tier talent both internally (domain experts, senior voices) and externally, ensuring content is authoritative, credible and engaging.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the true original content lead, working closely with marketing, video, events and other editorial teams to ensure integrated execution.
- Budget Management: Oversee PPP (per-piece/project) rates for external contributors, maintaining quality while optimizing resources.
- Monetization & Sponsorship: Partner with commercial teams to shape premium content into sponsorship-ready packages, ensuring initiatives have clear business potential.
Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in editorial leadership across digital media, publishing, or broadcast, with a track record of building premium content franchises.
- Strong editorial instincts across multiple formats (longform, podcasts, video, live events).
- Proven ability to balance creative vision with business objectives.
- Experience commissioning, editing, and producing high-quality stories with cultural impact.
- Excellent network of contributors, talent, and industry experts.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, able to work across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of audience engagement strategies and evolving media consumption trends.
