We are seeking a strategic and analytical Consumer Insights Manager to lead the development and execution of consumer and market insights initiatives across one portfolio of our consumer-packaged goods (CPG) brands in the food space. This role will be responsible for uncovering actionable insights that drive brand growth, innovation, and consumer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary market research, data analytics, and storytelling, with a passion for understanding consumer behavior.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Insights Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive insights plan to support brand marketing, product, and sales teams.
- Consumer Understanding: Translate consumer data into actionable insights using qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends in big data including competitive landscape, and category dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, R&D, sales, and finance teams to integrate insights into business planning.
- Vendor Management: Manage projects with external research agencies and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Reporting & Storytelling: Create compelling presentations and reports that clearly communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Innovation Support: Identify unmet consumer needs and opportunities for product innovation and portfolio optimization.
Experience, Skills, Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, or related field required (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or analytics within the CPG industry required.
- Strong knowledge of research methodologies (e.g., segmentation, U&A, concept testing, brand tracking).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Nielsen, Numerator, Suzy, Excel).
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range:
$101,897.00 - $169,829.00Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon. Total pay may include other forms of compensation including short-term incentive bonus.
