Job Summary:  

Our Workday Integration Architect leads the design, development, and deployment of Workday integrations across HR, finance, and other enterprise systems. This role blends technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Integration scope: Manage end-to-end integration efforts for Workday implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. 

  • Design Scalable Solutions: Architect robust, compliant, and scalable Workday integrations using tools like Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to align integration strategies with business goals. 

  • Mentor & Coach: Guide junior consultants and developers, fostering growth and ensuring quality delivery. 

  • Project Oversight: Lead project planning, budgeting, and staffing decisions for integration; serve as a technical advisor to project managers and stakeholders. 

  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose integration issues, optimize performance, and ensure data accuracy across systems. 

  • Architect, design, build, and implement application integrations using third party tools, or built-in integration platforms or API’s and document the design in accordance with best practices 

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining system integrations and components, including but not limited to, application to application integrations, services, internal and external API, file transfer, and SQL queries. 

  • Participate in requirements analysis and decomposition, design, development, internal testing, and the documentation of same for the application-application integrations. 

  • Work directly with all levels of business users, business analysts and project teams to best understand and analyze business specifications 

 

Requirements 

  • Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and XML/XSLT. 

  • Strong cross-functional understanding of Workday HCM, Financials, and related modules. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to “read the room” and deliver complex messages with clarity and tact. 

  • Professional, organized, and strong communicator 

  • Familiarity with a change management process, SDLC and testing processes 

  • Demonstrated ability to design and document software integration solutions 

  • Familiarity with database tools such as SQL Developer; Integration Architecture, and best practices 

  • Strong familiarity with 3rd party software integration practices and tools such as Mulesoft or Jitterbit 

  • Workday certification in Integration or Studio 

  • Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members 

  • Ability to contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behavior and effort to achieve goals and objectives 

  • Self-motivated and driven 

  • Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines 

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance 

  • Demonstrates excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy 

  • The ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information 

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance 

  • 7-10 years of experience in working with integration platforms 

  • Experience with middleware platforms and API management 

  • Experience in consulting environments or large-scale enterprise implementations 

  • Prior experience working with ERP, HCM or EPM software 

  • Demonstrated experience in XML, and experience with Java or .Net 

  • Experience in structured release & deployment best practices 

  • Demonstrated development experience all levels of testing methodologies 

  • Demonstrated experience writing Web Services, RESTFUL, or SOAP, as well as experience writing fault-tolerant code 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Workday Pro certification for integration management preferred
