About the Role 

We are looking for a versatile Platform Engineer to join our Observability Platform Team on a 3–6 month contract. You’ll work on a greenfield, fully automated data center deployment and play a pivotal hands-on role across the full platform lifecycle—from infrastructure automation and system integration to reliability engineering and operational tooling. 

This role has a well-defined scope, but we’re seeking someone who brings core platform engineering expertise and can also contribute to observability tooling and dashboards where needed. Your day-to-day may involve infrastructure provisioning, automation, platform reliability improvements, and building tooling that supports other teams. 

We value versatility, ownership, and the ability to adapt—you'll help shape foundational platform capabilities and shift focus as priorities evolve. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, build, and operate platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible. 

• Develop and maintain automation and tooling to support provisioning, system configuration, and platform services. 

• Improve deployment workflows, reliability, and scalability across the platform. 

• Write integrations and automation logic in Golang (preferred) or Python, especially for infrastructure tooling and telemetry pipelines. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, shape platform services, and ensure operational readiness. 

• Enhance observability and monitoring capabilities (e.g., dashboards, metrics pipelines, alerting) as part of a broader platform engineering remit. 

• Support evolving priorities across the platform—whether that’s infrastructure enhancements one week or observability improvements the next. 

Required Skills 

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, or similar role in Linux-based environments. 

• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform. 

• Proficiency in Golang (preferred) or Python for automation, tooling, and systems integration. 

• Strong understanding of platform reliability, resilience, and scalability principles. 

• Familiarity with observability concepts (metrics/logs/tracing) and query languages such as PromQL. 

• Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and collaborate effectively across engineering teams. 

• Excellent communication skills for both technical and cross-functional stakeholders. 

Desirable Skills 

• Exposure to OpenTelemetry, metric instrumentation, and telemetry pipelines. 

• Experience deploying and managing observability tooling (e.g., Grafana dashboards and datasources) via code. 

• Experience in data center or infrastructure-heavy environments. 

• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, container technologies (Docker/Podman), or cloud-native practices.
