Your Mission:  

 

 

The Product Manager is expected to provide strong leadership to the organization in terms of professional conduct, business culture and product knowledge. The Product Manager is to be the product and sales champion for the business line’s products within Canada by supporting the Branches, Account Managers and the Business Line Manager with application specific knowledge and recommendations for equipment. By increasing knowledge of the Canadian market and Epiroc’s place in it, will be able to provide products required to meet current and future customer demand.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Responsible for the Surface drill and truck automation product and projects within Canada
  • Directly supports the Surface Drilling Business Line Managers for the customer’s technology needs
  • Work directly with Automation Product Managers at the factory for:
    • Knowledge and understanding of new and existing products
    • Orders requiring special needs
    • Large project reviews and cooperation
    • New capability/product testing and feedback
    • Feedback on metrics of employed automation
  • Acts as liaison between customer and product company for problem resolution
  • Works with communications personnel for article creation, expo planning, and speaking engagements.
  • Responsible for mine technology integration efforts; to include project planning and interfacing with the customer; seeing it through to successful implementation.
  • Ensure customer center orders to product company are configured with correct Rig Control System technology options
  • Make regular field and customer visits to ensure the company is informed of the latest market trends and future industry needs.
  • Provide product support and technical training to the field sales team.
  • Prepare and organize suitable training/training material to assist in the development of the sales force.
  • Monitor competitor activities and understand their products
  • Travel as required to fulfill the duties of the role and this includes travel on weekends or overseas to the factories in USA ,and Sweden and to mine sites and customer’s offices across Canada.
  • Full responsibility for Automation financials.

 

Your profile: 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) years of experience in mining equipment technology and automation preferred.
  • Experience working across different cultures
  • Strong comprehension of basic and intermediary financial statements and calculations
  • Strong understanding of commercial documentation / contracts is an asset
  • Experience in construction or mining industries / environments is an asset
  • Experience working in complex, interdisciplinary, cross-functional, and global teams
  • Familiarity with Epiroc Surface product line and / or competitor Surface Drilling equipment is an asset
  • Excellent English language skills, reading, writing, verbal, French an asset.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

  • Degree in the Information Technology field or equivalent is strongly preferred due to the technical nature of this position.
  • Equivalent field experience to demonstrate competency can also fulfill the education requirement.
