Your responsibilities
In summary, you'll:
Consumer
- Applies, understands and implements qualitative and quantitative methodologies, seeking for the optimal alternative to give answers to the business in an effective way.
- Interpreting data, writing reports, and making actionable recommendations.
- Facilitate the sharing of best practices among ASEAN countries.
- Helps define the business issue, challenging the team and asking key questions, and delivers research that answers the business need.
- Becomes a strategic partner, working closely with stakeholders, challenging the status quo and searching for the best alternatives to solve the business issue and drive growth.
- Build strategic relationships with Marketing teams and Market Research Agencies to develop strategic business insights regarding relevant business issues/needs, both short and long-term.
- Champions the development of great insights with stakeholders.
- Challenges agencies to share relevant thinking on research innovation and actively participates in sharing learnings relating to research approaches.
- Collaborates with problem owners to clarify and challenge the business issue and define the associated research objectives.
- Works cross-functionally to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders and incorporate multiple requirements into research programmes.
Data
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Incorporates multiple data sources to provide a framework for business planning and decision making.
- Ensure understanding and visibility on the external data with the right quality/availability (market coverage, data stability/trending).
- Ensure the local business has the needed market knowledge and feels enabled to make data based business decision based on right quality, right time, right value for money market data solutions.
- Deliver local reporting of in-market performance as to measure business strategies (standardized reporting for all countries).
- Maximize value of existing data to create business knowledge to identify market and business opportunities.
- Identify future trends by watching the new product roll-out of competitors and by keeping abreast of consumer reports on future needs.
- Understand market context in depth in order to identify risk and opportunities.
The experience we're looking for
- Solid background in market analytics, adept at interpreting complex data to create relevant market strategies.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a history of guiding diverse teams in a cross-functional environment.
- Fluent in using analytical tools like SQL, Python, R, and familiar with market research methodologies.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Ideally a background in FMCG or Consumer Health, bringing a creative and sustainable approach to product development and marketing.
