Position Summary

The Recruitment Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the district’s efforts to attract, hire, and retain high-quality and diverse educators and staff. Under the supervision of the Director of Recruitment, the Recruitment Coordinator provides operational, logistical, and administrative support for all phases of the recruitment and onboarding process. This role helps ensure a positive candidate experience and contributes to the district’s goal of staffing every classroom with excellent educators.

Essential Functions

Candidate Recruitment & Outreach

  • Support recruitment campaigns and outreach initiatives to attract diverse, qualified candidates for all open positions.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team in developing recruitment materials that are aligned to the district brand 
  • Assist in developing and distributing recruitment materials, job postings, and social media content.
  • Coordinate and attend career fairs, networking events, and community outreach activities as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with educator preparation programs, community partners, and prospective candidates.
  • Support the Director with the development and modification of the talent workplan including but not limited to the vision, goals and strategies 

Candidate Experience & Support

  • Make recommendations on the hiring and selection process in order to improve the candidate experience
  • Respond to candidate inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications.
  • Support principals and hiring managers with interview and selection logistics, as necessary.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking systems and ensure timely processing of all on-boarding documentation, flagging concerns with HRG, hiring managers and Director.
  • Prepare and share regular reports on applicant pipelines, hiring progress, and recruitment metrics.
  • Support the Director of Recruitment with data collection and analysis.

Onboarding & Hiring Coordination

  • Assist with the pre-employment process, including resume and phone screening, reference checks, background checks, and onboarding documentation.
  • In collaboration with the Director, ensure hiring managers are using the appropriate rubrics and processes approved by the district
  • Coordinate with HR staff to ensure smooth transition from candidate acceptance to employee onboarding.
  • Coordinate the annual New Staff Orientation

Team & Administrative Support

  • Collaborate with HR staff to ensure waivers are in place for all unlicensed employees.
  • Oversee the requisition, posting, and applicant tracking process in the applicant tracking system.
  • Prepare agendas for ongoing staffing meetings, including collaboration with HRGs and monitoring completion of previous action items. 
  • Provide general administrative support to the Director of Recruitment, including but not limited to scheduling and tracking tasks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of recruitment processes and candidate experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the recruitment team and the district’s staffing goals

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in recruitment, HR, or a related administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfortable with working in a fast paced environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible: ability to shift priorities quickly, comfortable with ambiguity and frequent change, open minded and resilient
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse community of candidates, employees, and partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency with human resource information systems such as Google Suite (Calendar, Meet, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and applicant tracking systems (TalentEd/Powerschool/SchoolSpring); willingness to learn new systems.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment and hiring practices.
  • Experience in K–12 education or public sector hiring preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

Salary: $44,000 - $54,000 - Commensurate with experience, aligned with district pay scale.
Work Year: Full-year, 12-month position.
