Specific priorities of need include adult health, psychiatric mental health, and obstetric nursing. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned undergraduate and pre-licensure courses in the Department of Nursing. Specific priorities of need include adult health, psychiatric mental health, and obstetric nursing.
- Participate in curriculum development activities as appropriate or assigned.
- Participate in didactic, lab practicum and clinical settings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing from a college or university of recognized standing.
- Current unrestricted RN license to practice in Hawai'i.
- Minimum of three years of full-time work experience in the area of nursing specialty.
- Engaged in professional practice with a similar patient population and level of patient acuity where they will be assigned for the purpose of supervising nursing students.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively, provide clinical supervision, provide student feedback, and direct group discussion.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively meet, interact and confer with others.
- Demonstrated competency in interprofessional team work and team science.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience.
- Experience in curriculum development and evaluation.
- Certified or eligible for certification in advanced practice.
