Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealership/automotive vehicle repair, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. As a Service Dispatcher, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating service dispatch, and ensuring the efficient and timely completion of all service tasks. Service Advisors that want a change of pace are encouraged to apply.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Monitor and manage the progress of work orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, work orders, and inventory.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on service status and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience in a shop foreman, service dispatcher, or service advisor role within the automotive industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using dispatch and inventory management software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
**Preferred Qualifications: **
- Associate degree or higher in a related field.
- Previous experience in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of CDK preferred
