JOB TITLE: Dishwasher (Must be 18 years of age or older)

DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage

REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager

SALARY: Grade 2

               Range Start: $16.00/hourly

               Range End: $23.25/hourly

CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

SUPERVISES: None                                                     

JOB SUMMARY: This team member cleans and sanitizes plateware, glassware, silverware, and kitchen areas using proper chemicals and cleaning agents in accordance with specified guidelines

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:  

 

1.    Scrapes food from dirty dishes and places them in racks or conveyor to dishwashing machine

2.    Cleans dishwashing machine on scheduled times, including traps and screens using proper chemicals while wearing protective gear

3.    Washes pots, pans, trays, chafing dishes, and all banquet equipment

4.    Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, including floor mats when needed

5.    Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators, and cutting boards as a daily routine

6.    Segregates and removes trash and places it in designated containers, and washes out trashcans on a daily basis

7.    Assists in putting all food away in dry storage, refrigerators, freezers, and other storerooms by using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method

8.    Helps to transfer supplies from storage to work areas

9.    Assists in labeling and dating incoming food products, and organizing them in walk-in coolers, freezers, and dry storage room

10.  Assists prep cooks, food and beverage attendants, and line cooks when needed

11.  Helps prep cooks prepare and portion food items according to specifications when needed

12.  Puts all banquet equipment, banquet plates, and banquet cups away in proper storage rooms in an organized manner

13.  Maintains proper storage of all banquet, kitchen, and restaurant equipment

14.  Maintains work areas, equipment, and utensils in an organized fashion

15.  Helps plate-up sit down functions 

16. Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino

17.  Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program

18.  Other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is preferred 

 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

 

The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process:  

 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Chemical safety awareness preferred     
  • Food Handler card is required

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Continuously stands, and walks 
  • Frequently bends/stoops, and reaches above/below shoulder level
  • Occasionally climbs, kneels, and squats
  • Continuously lifts/carries up to twenty five (25) pounds is required
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to fifty (50) pounds is required
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to seventy five (75) pounds is required
  • Continuously pushes/pulls up to twenty five (25) pounds is required
  • Frequently pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required
  • Occasionally pushes/pulls up to seventy five (75) pounds is required
