About the Department
The monitor position for the 3D digital fabrication lab is expected to have a general familiarity with digital printing and fabrication and/or familiarity with 3D modeling software and be comfortable working with digital based technology. The primary purpose of this position is to provide limited but broad support for the School of Arts digital fabrication area located in the Integrated Shop and Sculpture Area.

Position Duties
- Assist in monitoring and general oversight of the lab during assigned hours
- Assist lab users with the operational protocols in the lab and provide limited technical information for the use of the 3D printers, CNC equipment, and Laser Cutting machines
- Perform routine checks on the equipment to ensure that the machines are calibrated and in good working order as specified by the lab's protocol procedure
- Provide general support where applicable in the upkeep and maintenance of the lab's equipment and restocking of supplies
- Assist with general upkeep and cleaning of the equipment and lab facility
Minimum Qualifications
- Some sculpture or 3D experience
- 3D Software experience
- 3D/Laser Printer experience
- Knowledge of shop safety
- Able to work in a team and work unsupervised
