Job Summary

The Recruiter / Generalist will be responsible for recruiting functions relating to searching, interviewing, performing on-boarding steps to fill various positions throughout the organization. The position will require someone who wants to use technology to enhance our candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain sourcing resources to post needed vacancies throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with marketing team to assure postings are attractive and being seen by viable candidates to create applicant responsiveness.
  • Work with marketing to create materials for job fairs, colleges, or tech school presentations.
  • Attend job fairs when appropriate.
  • Build relationships with tech schools, high schools, and / or colleges to keep the Bentley Truck Services name out in front as individuals seek employment opportunities
  • Work closely with hiring managers throughout organization to understand their needs and to follow-up with managers to keep process moving.
  • Will be interacting with other Human Resource personnel to understand where candidates are in the process and assure all steps are complete before Date of Hire.
  • Perform pre-employment steps such as ordering background, drug screens, and MVR’s as required.
  • Explain organization and benefit packages to potential candidates.
  • Work with candidates and hiring managers to facilitate interviews.
  • Assist with Applicant Tracking including notifying candidates on their status via e-mail, telephone, or letters.
  • Assist new hires with on-boarding when necessary.
  • Perform routine administrative duties such as e-mailing, filing, scanning, faxing, shredding.
  • Assist in facilitation of performance reviews and provide status updates on assigned goals.
  • When business needs require may be asked to help with other duties inside or outside the Human Resource Department.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to keep confidentiality relating to candidates and employee’s personal information.
  • Strong PC skills relating to Microsoft Office Suite Software.
  • Organizational skills relating to filing and retrieving candidate data.
  • Ability to sit for long periods while performing PC functions.
  • Ability to kneel, stretch as required for filing.
  • Strong work ethic, and desire to excel.
  • Position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma: Associates Degree preferred.
  • Recruiting Experience Preferred
  • At least two years in an administrative role.
  • Experience with recruiting software such as Indeed, Monster, LinkedIn, etc.  Hireology experience a plus.
  • Experience using Video Conferencing desired. (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.)
  • SHRM - PHR Cert a plus
