JOB TITLE: SC Intermediate School Tutor
DEPARTMENT: COSE
REPORTS TO: After School Program Coordinator at Sioux Center Intermediate School
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Help Intermediate School students with homework after school and possibly help students in their classrooms during the school day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- After school program: Help 4th and 5th grade students with homework completion. Read with students. Review specific skills with students.
- Workdays and times: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 3:20pm - 4:15pm.
- Classroom help: If the Dordt student’s schedule allows it, they may assist students during the school day in Intermediate School classrooms. Hours needed will vary and will be scheduled through the After School Program Coordinator.
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Education major is preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to work with 4th and 5th grade students.
- Must be patient with students. Must help students meet After School Program expectations.
