About the role and the team:
We’re seeking a hands-on Senior Airtable Implementation Specialist to own and evolve our primary planning tools, enabling cross-functional teams to better plan, track, and deliver work. This role blends traditional analyst and product management responsibilities—such as gathering requirements and prioritizing feature requests—with hands-on configuration, building and implementation within the tool itself.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring our current Airtable planning tool supports our product development and operational workflows at scale, while also evaluating when and how to integrate additional planning tools as needs evolve. You’ll partner closely with teams across product, engineering, design, and operations—and collaborate with our IT partners for more complex development and system integrations, ensuring compliance.
This is an ideal role for someone who loves creating structure from chaos, has a strong systems approach, and isn’t afraid to get into the weeds to configure and test solutions themselves.
What You’ll Do:
Within Airtable and other tools you will define, implement and manage data models (e.g. data relationship for downstream consumption), schemas (e.g. table design), field structures (e.g. common denominator), and taxonomies for consistency across eBay
Serve as the product owner for our planning tools, managing the evolution of our core planning workspace and associated workflows.
Work with cross-functional partners to gather requirements, identify inefficiencies, and translate them into Airtable enhancements.
Design and implement Airtable bases, views, automations, permissions, and interfaces to support team-specific and org-wide planning needs.
Develop standards, templates, and naming conventions to ensure consistency, scalability, and ease of use across teams.
Monitor adoption, define success metrics, and iterate on tooling based on feedback and usage data.
Own documentation, training materials, and change management communications to support ongoing engagement and ease of onboarding.
Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues; act as the first line of support for Airtable questions and enhancement requests.
Evaluate and pilot additional tools or integrations (e.g., Jira, Productboard, Looker Studio) as our planning ecosystem expands.
Partner with internal IT teams to scope and deliver more complex platform enhancements, integrations, and custom development needs.
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and operations teams to ensure Airtable integrates effectively into the broader tool ecosystem.
What You’ll Bring:
6 + years of experience in product management, product operations, or internal tooling—preferably supporting cross-functional teams.
3 + years of experience with Airtable, including base design, advanced filtering, automations, linked records, and interface designer.
Strong systems thinking and a bias towards scalable process design; able to translate ambiguous needs into structured solutions.
Excellent facilitation and collaboration skills—comfortable collecting feedback, aligning partners, and making tradeoff decisions.
Clear communicator who can explain complex tool setups in simple, empathic terms for non-technical users.
Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment; able to move between critical thinking and tactical execution.
Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams such as IT or engineering to implement integrations and customizations.
