Barings is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Analyst to join our Funds Management team in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in Finance, Mathematics, commerce or Data Science. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the investment team by providing analytical support, managing reporting workflows, and contributing to process improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Run daily and monthly processes critical to portfolio surveillance.
• Manage timely and accurate reporting, including monthly investment performance metrics.
• Respond to ad-hoc data requests and perform related analysis.
• Generate regular presentation materials for various investment portfolios.
• Manage and streamline recurring tasks through Excel models and tools.
• Manage the end-to-end processing and analysis of security corporate actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A degree in Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline
• Advanced Excel skills. Experience with VBA, DAX, and/or SQL a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
• Highly efficient in time management, with a structured and organised approach to work
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex information clearly.
