About the Role
Bring your skills to one of Australia’s most iconic destinations. As a Cook based in Yulara, you’ll help create unforgettable dining moments against the backdrop of Uluru. From sizzling BBQ dinners to beautifully prepared hors d’oeuvres, you’ll play a key role in showcasing food and hospitality that leaves a lasting impression on our guests.
This role is hands-on, guest-facing, and dynamic. You’ll work closely with our team to deliver consistently high standards, while also having opportunities to cross-train others and build your own leadership skills.
About You
We’re seeking someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about food and guest experience. You’ll thrive in a team environment and enjoy the fast-paced, rewarding nature of catering in a unique location. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- A hands-on approach with a genuine commitment to quality and consistency.
- Previous experience in food & beverage, catering, or hospitality.
- Understanding of dietary requirements and food safety practices.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
- Some experience in training or mentoring others
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present food for BBQ dinner service, including larder items such as salads and desserts.
- Assist in preparing hors d’oeuvres for sunset drinks service.
- Grill meats and other menu items to guest preferences, maintaining quality and presentation.
- Monitor food storage, cooking temperatures, and equipment to meet safety standards.
- Work with hosts and floor supervisors to ensure dietary requests are managed accurately.
- Provide professional, friendly, and knowledgeable service to guests.
- Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with ordering, stock control, and daily reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and care of work areas and equipment.
- Support cross-training within the team as required.
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties to support smooth operations.
Preferred Qualifications (training provided if required):
- Food handling and hygiene certification.
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery (preferred, not essential).
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
- Open Australian Driver’s license
