Role purpose
The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Chadstone’s marketing strategy. Working in close partnership with the Marketing Manager, Assistant Marketing Managers, external agency partners, and internal teams across both Centre and National levels, this role contributes to the seamless execution of marketing campaigns, activations and centre-led communications. Responsibilities include coordinating promotional activity, design and print production, and managing communications with Chadstone retailers to ensure consistent and effective engagement. By driving impactful consumer and retailer interactions, the Marketing Coordinator supports the broader business strategy to enhance asset performance and plays an integral role in the continued growth and evolution of the Chadstone brand.Key Accountabilities
Campaign Delivery
Support marketing programs and development of content that enhances the vision of evolution to a city and embraces the pillar of cultural epicentre and heart of social energy.
Support Assistant Marketing Managers in the delivery of mid/large-scale in-centre activations that enables high levels of retailer participation and customer engagement.
Deliver small-scale content-based campaigns and centre-based activations to drive centre visitation and support seasonal events/trends.
Collaborate with Hotel Chadstone, providing marketing support and campaign integration where possible.
Ensure creative execution aligns with the Chadstone brand positioning and tone of voice.
Coordination marketing messages and promotions, including website updates, newsletter creation, development of printed assets, in-centre displays and signage.
Leverage digital channels and content creation to grow Chadstone audience following and engagement.
Create a more meaningful connection with the community through the development of content and initiatives that reflect the broad Chadstone audience.
Data, Insights & Reporting
Draw analysis and insights from relevant research data to understand opportunities and threats around market share, category performance, customer segments and retail trends, to in turn inform marketing programs.
Stay abreast of key consumer trends and behaviours, media channels and changes in market conditions to inform marketing activity.
Develop measurable campaign objectives to achieve identified KPIs.
Assess and report on campaign performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Retailer, Community & Centre Support
- Maximise retailer participation in all campaign activity.
- Assess and report on retailer performance and identify opportunities for support where required or to optimise turnover rent when appropriate.
- Provide dedicated marketing support to a portfolio of retailers, maximising their reach, brand awareness and recognition of promotions via Chadstone’s digital marketing channels.
- Support the wider marketing team with the development and scheduling of retailer marketing promotions, including but not limited to, website articles, digital directories and email communications.
- Manage marketing activations site calendar and engagement with Brand Space and CML teams, ensuring revenue is optimised and marketing objectives are maintained.
- Monitor the Chadstone Marketing inbox and respond to retailer and community enquiries in a timely manner.
- Manage centre-based hoarding development plans, advising on the creative and production guidelines.
- Manage a portfolio of retailers, providing marketing advice and integration of promotions within the Chadstone digital marketing ecosystem.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager – Tourism to support the delivery of targeted initiatives and collateral development for Chadstone’s tourist market.
Budget & Financial Management
- Support the Marketing Manager in the preparation of the marketing budget ensuring prudent and timely expense management and accurate month-end forecasting.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to maximise on-brand income opportunities and customer experience as part of key events across all precincts.
- Manage campaign-specific budgets, including induction of new vendors, timely creation of purchase orders and management of receipting and invoicing.

Experience & Capabilities
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (what you have done)
- Skilled coordinator with previous experience within a marketing department, ideally within the retail industry.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
- Stakeholder management including, engaging key agency partners and suppliers to deliver on brief and on budget.
CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE (what you need to know)
- Professional, confident and with a proactive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple and varying activities with conflicting deadlines across multiple platforms including digital, social media and traditional channels.
CAPABILITIES (what you can do)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail and ability to effectively present ideas and share campaign strategies and tactics.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills with ability to effectively engage multiple stakeholders and manage multiple agency partners and suppliers.
- Capability to critically assess, measure and report campaign results in a timely manner.
- Effective organisational and time-management skills to manage large-scale campaigns and activations with numerous elements within short lead-times.
- Proactively anticipate emerging consumer behaviours and trends to inform the Brand & Marketing Strategy.
- Understand various customer stakeholders and always consider their needs when making decisions.
