Job Description:

As the Volunteer Administration Officer, you will provide administration support for our national Volunteer program which includes tasks such as processing pre-employment checks, coordinating onboarding and commencement details, responding to emails and managing the Volunteer inbox, data entry and reporting, verbal and written communications, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and supporting our volunteering initiatives and programs.
Reporting to the SVCS Volunteer Lead, you will not only benefit from working in a hybrid model which includes a mix of working from home, at our corporate office and/or on site with our facility teams, you will be joining a passionate team of individuals who work well together, know how to have fun and genuinely care about the contribution we are here to make.
Based in any of our Group Head Offices in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, this opportunity is a Full-Time Fixed Term contract until 30 June 2026 and is now available for immediate start.
Things that work for us:
- A genuine passion and excitement for providing the best possible candidate experience
- Knowledge of the Community Visitors Scheme or Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme advantageous
- Several years’ experience in an administration role ideally within Volunteering, Recruitment, HR or not-for-profit areas
- Pre-employment processing experience – national criminal history checks, collating identification, working rights, reference checks, vaccination requirements, qualifications, NDIS checks and so on
- Engaging and effective teamwork skills which enable you to build great working relationships, achieve great outcomes and add value as an effective member of our fabulous team
- What’s more important than industry background is your Values and Mission alignment, commitment to providing the highest quality service and a genuine desire to continually improve our offering - we're constantly evolving and transforming to ensure the Talent support we provide is exceptional and are seeking team members who can join us on this creative journey
- Demonstrated, high level administration, customer service, planning and organisational skills, resilience and problem-solving skills are essential along with a knack for identifying continuous process improvement
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, very confident using all Microsoft programs, Teams, Outlook, pre-employment portals, knowing your way around recruitment systems and the importance of why using standardised templates and communications is key to quality and consistent service
