Our Change Directorate is at the forefront of our ambition to transform the FCA into a data-led regulator, and our work enables the FCA to effectively regulate some of the UK’s most complex financial markets.
Within the Change Directorate, our Departmental Change Teams (DCT) work closely with business areas to deliver business change activities in support of technology, regulation, process and behavioural changes. DSTs are made up of key change disciplines such as business change, project management and business analysis.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Change Practitioner to join our Departmental Change Team to help to deliver our portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for the people side of business and technical change; they will have a track record of delivering end-to-end business and technology change in challenging environments, will demonstrate outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, and use their problem-solving, proactive mindset to collaborate with others developing and implementing appropriate change management strategies on projects and programmes.
What will you be doing?
Analysing stakeholder groups and driving stakeholder engagement and management to support project and programme delivery
Developing detailed change impact assessments and securing a shared view of these impacts across areas impacted, the programme team and the business area sponsoring by the change
Developing effective and appropriate change interventions and deliverables in conjunction with the business and programme team to manage these impacts. Change activities will include, amongst others: the establishment and leadership of change champion networks, communication plans, engagement materials, training needs analysis, go-live readiness plans and supporting the transition to BAU teams
Working closely with project and programme teams to deliver change aligned to the FCA’s Change Delivery Framework and collaborating with other areas to ensure a joined-up experience for end users
Being an active member of the Business Change practice, supporting the development of content for capability frameworks, best practice methodologies and deliverable frameworks

Minimum
Prior experience and evidence of delivering organisational change involving changes to people, processes, technology, structure, behaviour and new ways of working
Prior experience of change management theories in the context of a delivery framework such as waterfall or agile
Essential
Strong organisational skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experienced in stakeholder management, overcoming resistance to change, building trust, and addressing key issues
Knowledgeable in change management within both waterfall and agile frameworks, with experience in project planning
Proficient in risk identification, developing mitigation strategies, and securing stakeholder agreement on risk management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in crafting organisation-wide communication materials
Collaborative team player who values diverse skills and expertise, with the ability to travel to FCA Stratford office for meetings as needed
