We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension.

The successful candidate will lead a large-scale software delivery project while managing multiple smaller projects, ensuring high standards of project governance and client satisfaction. This role requires a strong background in the social housing sector and software delivery, with the flexibility to work on-site at client locations 2-3 days per week and travel to employer and client sites as needed.

Note: Candidates must be based within commuting distance of Manchester and be available for on-site work and travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a core large-scale software implementation project for social housing clients, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Manage multiple smaller projects concurrently, balancing priorities and resources effectively.
• Implement robust project governance frameworks, including risk management, stakeholder communication, and progress reporting.
• Collaborate closely with clients, internal development teams, and stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
• Conduct regular on-site visits (2-3 days per week) to client locations to oversee project progress, facilitate workshops, and build strong client relationships.
• Ensure alignment with the unique needs of the social housing sector, leveraging your expertise to drive successful outcomes.
• Monitor and report on project performance, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure quality and compliance.
• Travel to employer and client sites as required, maintaining flexibility to meet project demands.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the social housing sector, with a deep understanding of its operational and regulatory requirements.
• Extensive experience in software delivery projects, ideally within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
• Strong knowledge of project governance principles, including risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients and internal teams.
• Willingness to work on-site at client locations 2-3 days per week and travel to employer and client sites as required.
• Based within commuting distance of Manchester, with access to reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).

Desirable Skills

• Professional project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile).
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with software solutions tailored to the social housing sector.
