We are now looking for an Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Manager to join the Guardian’s Group Tech & Data team. In this role you will act as a central point of contact for all IDAM process, procedures and technology, shaping the IDAM strategy in line with the Information Security (InfoSec), Enterprise Technology and Data teams. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the Guardian’s tech transformation, updating and facilitating the creation of new processes for Identity Governance Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) as well as contributing to the development and implementation of the overall IAM strategy and roadmap in collaboration with Architecture and InfoSec teams including scoping future workstreams. 

About the Role

  • Line management of the IDAM Team (currently one Analyst)
  • Managing the tools and technologies used for PAM (e.g. CyberArk,) .
  • Ensuring consistency of IDAM data with accordance to agreed policies and standards
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the overall IAM strategy and roadmap in collaboration with Architecture and Information Security teams.
  • Working collaboratively with the Service Delivery team to streamline approval processes for user access to line of business applications. 
  • Maintaining consistency of the new JML (joiners, movers and leavers) operating procedures and ensuring they are optimised and completed in a timely manner from an IDAM perspective, liaising with business stakeholders around any changes and improvements to JML processes. 
  • Provide user adoption training for Service Desk and all relevant Ent Tech teams  on any new policies and procedures. 
  • Compiling audit evidence around IDAM processes at the Guardian and support of Information Security audits and assessments

About You

  • Strong understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and best practices and experience owning responsibility for systems and processes
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, oversee projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Working understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, Google OAuth (D).
  • Understanding of information security principles and practices. Working knowledge of NIST, GDPR and ISO 27001 is particularly desirable.
  • Working understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and CyberArk.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

We operate in a hybrid environment working 3 days a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 2 days a week remotely.
