Job Summary:

As a vital member of our Credentialing team, the Compliance Coordinator ensures all temporary healthcare professionals meet regulatory and client-specific compliance standards prior to assignment start dates. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our services by upholding standards set by HIPAA, OSHA, The Joint Commission, Homeland Security, AHSA, and various client organizations.

What you'll do:

  • Initiate and manage the compliance onboarding process for all new healthcare contractors. 

  • Review, verify, and maintain credentialing documentation including but not limited to background checks, drug screenings, immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B), TB testing, and physicals. 

  • Collaborate with staffing agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure all compliance requirements are clearly communicated and fulfilled on time. 

  • Conduct daily follow-ups to ensure critical deadlines are met and proactively escalate any delays or issues to leadership. 

  • Monitor, track, and report on upcoming or missed credential expirations during assignment periods and obtain updated records as necessary. 

  • Support internal performance goals by ensuring compliance metrics align with Joint Commission standards and AHSA benchmarks. 

  • Maintain accurate records within AHSA’s proprietary Vendor Management System (VMS), Trio. 

Success Metrics:

  • Quarterly On-time start rate of 90% or higher.

  • Monthly compliance file audit score of 90% or higher.

  • Initiation of files within 24 hours of confirmation.

Education:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, credentialing, or healthcare staffing. 

  • Experience working within a Vendor Management System. 

  • Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to healthcare staffing (e.g., Joint Commission, HIPAA). 

Core Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple credentialing files simultaneously. 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working with external vendors and internal teams. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and general computer systems. 

  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 

  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under deadline pressures.

  • Trio

  • Microsoft Teams / Outlook / Excel

  • Airtable

  • Credentialing portals (e.g., vendor-specific platforms)

Compensation:

  • Pay Range: $45,000–$55,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements 

 

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.  

 

Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the workflow context, and complete tasks in situations with a speed or productivity quota. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while displaying exceptional communication skills and providing excellent service. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
