SUMMARY
Responsible for growing CVG’s sales within a defined territory by working with an assigned OES group, independent sales representatives, key dealership groups, co-op buying groups and independent distributors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowing and understanding CVG’s products, competitors and growing the sales of those products in the assigned territory.
- Responsible for developing & maintaining strong, positive relationships with CVG’s independent sales representatives. Providing field support, assisting with their acquisition of new and growth of existing accounts.
- Set annual sales targets for sales representatives based upon their assigned territory, existing market conditions and expected growth.
- Field work with CVG sales representatives, making key account sales calls to gain new business with key dealership groups and independent distributors.
- Provide product training and field support to sales representatives by holding onsite training for those reps and their customers.
- Maintain comprehensive contact list for each assigned sales rep group, key dealership and independent accounts and contact personnel at each. Periodically update and provide contact information to customer service and supervisor.
- As requested, assist in providing customer service to all customers, internal and external, and assist all customers in problem resolution.
- Track sales activity by sales reps and customers on an ongoing basis to ensure progress towards annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals.
- Work with sales reps to gather field information regarding competitive products and pricing through the various sales channels, as well as market information.
- Provide pertinent field information for the development and maintenance of the sales forecasting.
- Develop insights related to major competitors identifying strategies to grow CVG Product market share with existing and new products
- Provide insights that can be used to develop new and/or improved products to meet market needs.
- Participate with the marketing group and sales reps in the planning and working at local, regional and national industry trade shows, including dealer and distributor open houses and customer events.
- Act as liaison between Marketing team as it relates to advertising, promotions, literature, and Product training
- Approximately 60% travel will be required which can fluctuate during temporary periods
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Other duties may be assigned as required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position, you will be responsible for supervising the activities of 20 to 30 independent sales representatives. You will be responsible for setting their sales goals, directing their sales activities, working with them in the field, providing phone and online support; as well as providing quarterly and annual assessment of their goal attainment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or as determined by the interviewer.
