Are you an experienced Program Manager, Financial Auditor, or Program Analyst working at the federal level with grant programs such as LIHEAP, CSBG, CED, or AFI? We seek passionate individuals with a deep background in monitoring grant programs and ensuring financial and programmatic compliance. This pivotal role is contingent upon the successful award of the contract.
Travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and identify noteworthy practices and compliance findings related to grants management, expenditures, procurement, and reporting.
- Conduct reviews of grantees reporting on noteworthy practices, compliance findings, and opportunities for improvement in both financial and programmatic administration.
- Ensure high-level quality in all client deliverables by implementing or adhering to a quality control system for monitoring and reviewing work.
- Assess the financial integrity of grant recipients' systems, including internal controls, to prevent and detect improper payments, fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Utilize the TeamMate+ monitoring platform to request, review, and prepare working papers and track resolutions.
- Develop a summary of trending topics from compliance reviews and present findings to stakeholders during webinars and other events.
- Provide timely, attentive, and upbeat service to clients, ensuring their needs are met in a manner that reflects positively on the organization.
- Managers will also plan project timelines and allocate resources, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within budget, and oversee employee evaluations and personnel decisions.
- A degree in management, public administration, or a related field.
- Six (6) or more years of experience working with federal grants on a national scale (e.g., LIHEAP, CSBG, CED, AFI).
- Alternatively, three (3) or more years of experience with federal grants on a state or national level AND three (3) years of experience leading teams with positive results.
- Alternatively, five (5) years of experience using project management strategies to manage large teams and at least one (1) year of experience working with federal grants.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to provide technical assistance professionally.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly without clerical, spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to match field conditions with relevant federal statutes, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent time-management and critical thinking skills to analyze data and form a judgment based on technical knowledge of grant programs.
