Note: Union Dues are 1.44% of bi-weekly pay

 

Career Summary: 

The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking to hire a Membership Marketing Specialist who will develop, execute, and evaluate membership marketing activities to meet ANA’s growth goals and maximize dues revenue opportunities.


Your primary focus will be membership retention, and to be successful in this role, you will also have demonstrated experience with direct response marketing and with membership acquisition, retention, or win-back campaigns, programs, processes, and systems. Additionally, you are creative, curious, data-driven, and a great communicator.

What You Will Do:

  • You will provide expert implementation of traditional and digital membership retention and acquisition marketing campaigns to meet program goals and to maximize revenue and positive returns. 

 

  • You will plan campaigns, write copy, coordinate graphics, and distribute a wide variety of promotional and support materials for member marketing campaigns. 

 

  • You will monitor and track budgets for membership marketing campaigns, assist with preparation of membership departmental budgets (correlating direct response rates and revenue projections), and control expenditures in assigned budget areas. 

 

  • You will leverage various data sources and market intelligence to track campaign results, evaluate effectiveness of membership marketing strategies, and recommend improvements based on data. 

 

  • You will assist with the identification, development, and promotion of new member benefits, programs, and products to improve the membership value proposition.

 

  • You will maintain productive relationships with membership team colleagues, as well as internal and external partners and agencies. 

 

  • You will also assist with departmental administrative responsibilities, special projects and other duties that may be assigned. 

 

 

What you bring to the American Nurses Enterprise:

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience required, preferably in  marketing, advertising, or communications.

 

Related Work Experience:  

  • Minimum of three years of work experience in consumer or membership marketing or communications. 
  • Specific experience in direct response marketing and/or membership acquisition, retention or win-back preferred.
  • Association or marketing agency experience preferred, and healthcare or nursing professional knowledge a plus.

 

Skills: 

  • Specialized knowledge of direct marketing campaign development and execution leveraging multiple channels including email, digital, mobile, and direct mail 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Proficiency with email marketing/automation software, preferably HubSpot
  • Proficiency with association management software, preferably Personify 
  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Demonstrable experience in advertising, promotion, and digital communications, including working with designers and agencies
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, collegial, and innovative work style
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with minimal supervision and administrative support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and diplomacy in dealing with changing priorities and demanding workload

Work Schedule: 

Hybrid employees must work a minimum of 20% in the office.
