SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Executes administrative and technical member service associated with accounts in-person, by telephone, and via electronic communications.  Serves as liaison between the member and the Credit Union.  Provides a variety of transaction services to members.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support credit union member relations through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.
  • Research and resolve member inquiries; escalate and follow-up as appropriate. Provide professional, prompt, efficient, and accurate service and information.
  • Handles the opening/closing of accounts, CDs, IRAs, safe deposit boxes as required, and provide members with all necessary information for membership. Execute Chex Systems and OFAC inquiries.
  • Promote and demonstrate electronic account information delivery systems to new members.
  • Handle requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, check requests, CD transactions, line of credit advances, and any other requests received.
  • Process check orders, and print starter checks. Process stop-payments on member checks.
  • Assist the teller line as-needed, which could include pulling a cash drawer in order to maintain adequate staffing; knowledge of all functions of a teller; rotating shifts between teller line and member service desk as scheduled.
  • Actively participate in exploring and uncovering financial solutions for our members as a service culture consistent with the Credit Union's business plan goals.
  • Utilize pre-approval platform in order to promote and cross-sell loan products and services.
  • Initiate auto, home, personal loans and lines of credit; assist borrowers with the loan application process.
  • Adhere to all branch security procedures.
  • Attend NBCU meetings and training, as required.
  • Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act including Member Identification Program for new members, accurate completion of new account activity profile, identifying high risk accounts at account opening, and reporting suspicious activities to supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school graduate or GED. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years cash-handling experience is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience is required.
  • Prior experience working in banking or finance is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior teller experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Basic skills related to Microsoft Office applications.
