Reports to: FCM Plant HR Manager
Contract: 12 months contract as part of our Graduate program

Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The HR Graduate is responsible is to support the HR Team in the day-to-day HR activities in accordance with the Group's human resources policies and procedures.
The main missions will be to gain development and learning on the following:
• Assist the HR team in personnel administration, implementation of group HR policies and their follow-up, staffing issues or industrial relations.
• Propose action plans and participate in their deployment.
• Collect information and prepare reports in line with Group HR policies for month-end figures and follow up indicators.
• Ensure that the organization complies with labour laws.
• Participate in Plant HR Activities
• Represent HR at the daily Plant Top 5 if required
• Assume responsibility for assigned FES chapters
• Answer employee queries related to payroll
• Participate in training or Health Safety & Environment (HSE) issues if necessary.
• Assist with the completion of Return to Work interviews, Sick leave Counsellings, Improvement Ideas
• Assist in the compilation of the Annual Employment Equity reporting as well as the WSP and Training Reports (inclusive of Discretionary Grant applications to the Merseta)
• Assist with procurement of the employees PPE requirements
• Coordinate recruitment for all MOD staff and MOI (TFA levels), as well as assist with M&P levels when needed.
• Attend Incapacity / Disciplinary and Grievance Hearings; Advise Supervision and management on disciplinary, incapacity and grievance standards; Liase with shop stewards; Initiate Performance Management when advised to; Comprehensive Understanding of all legislation to advise line management on compliance.
• Coordinate all internal training logistics including venue, date, time, training rosters, material etc; Plan and schedule all internal training based on the Annual Training Plan; Ensure Training Information is accurately updated on the HR Systems as well as the Site Training Spreadsheet and filed accordingly; Accurate reporting of Training Stats. Regular Audits of the GAP Board by means of the HR Routines. In addition, managing any educational assistance to employees undertaking further study.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
The ideal graduate will have/be:
• NDIP or Bachelor’s degree or other relevant tertiary qualification with a specialisation in Human Resources.
• Strong willingness to learn IR/ Employee relations
• Familiar with HR Information systems as well as MS office (advantageous)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum bi-lingual (English required)
