As a Test Engineer with Fluke Corporation, you will be tasked with analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for calibration/test of new products. You will lead new product introduction to manufacturing and support the released product into the sustainment phase. You will be a major contributor to and owner of key performance indicators in delivering to Operations including 5S/Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols for new and existing products.
-Collaborate with product design, metrology, service and manufacturing teams to define test requirements.
-Develop automated and manual test setups, fixtures, and scripts as needed.
-Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and provide recommendations for design or process improvements.
-Document test procedures, results, and findings in clear, detailed reports.
-Ensure products meet applicable standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
-Support continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and methodologies.
-Assist in troubleshooting issues during development, pilot builds, and production ramp-up.
-Provide feedback to design and engineering teams to improve testability and product robustness.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer/Systems Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
-5-7+ years in related engineering experience.
-Strong test design skills (test plans, protocols, traceability to requirements, pass/fail criteria).
-Proficiency with scripting for test automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Bash, or C/C++ for embedded/fixtures).
-Hands-on experience with test equipment and data acquisition (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, DAQ, environmental chambers).
-Solid debugging and root-cause analysis using data (statistical methods, DOE, Pareto, 5-Whys, fishbone).
-Familiar with configuration management and issue tracking (Git, Jira) and basic SQL/Excel for data analysis.
-Knowledge of safety/quality practices and lab procedures.
