Duties

Provide support to multiple, varying project development teams as real estate professional in order to plan, organize, and carry out real estate requirements of projects to assure customer and stakeholders priorities are met.,Prepare real estate documents in accordance with regulations, policies, and laws and insure proper coordination through the agency.,Research, write, and recommend for approval the real estate section of planning reports and other documents.,Negotiate and prepare real estate acquisition documents to include access agreements, rights of entry, easements and other documents to support acquisition of property required to support varying types of projects.,Research real estate requirements, find innovative solutions to complex real estate problems, and multi-task to ensure deadlines are met.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, you must have: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience includes applying real estate principles, regulations, practices and techniques to determine necessary lands easement and rights of way for a project, supporting project delivery teams in planning and construction phases, preparing uncomplicated real estate agreements, performing encroachment identification, and supporting financial operations Accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07); OR B. Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Real Estate or Business Administration, Management, or a relevant field of study; OR C. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience includes planning and directing real estate transactions to accomplish acquisition, disposal, and management of civil works real property; develop funding requirements and schedules; providing technical guidance on real property acquisition, management, and disposal; providing professional and technical advice to the Real Estate Chief and District elements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09); OR B. Education: PhD or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Real Estate or Business Administration, Management, or a relevant field of study; OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
