Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an organised and adaptable Maintenance Coordinator to join our expanding team supporting a major aviation client. This newly created position is based on-site full-time, where you’ll be part of a large facilities service team ensuring operational excellence across a busy and dynamic workplace.
The role will suit someone who is customer-service focused, confident working with both data and people, and comfortable balancing hands-on maintenance tasks with coordination and reporting. You’ll need to enjoy variety - one moment you might be supporting maintenance requests and liaising with contractors, and the next providing practical assistance with workspace changes or repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise maintenance requests in line with SLAs, identifying trends and reporting on KPIs 📊
- Coordinate work orders and ensure contractor compliance and service delivery
- Support month-end reporting, risk registers, and facilities performance data
- Assist with workspace moves and general hands-on facilities tasks 🛠️
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, contractors, and client stakeholders
- Work as part of a large, collaborative team, taking initiative and stepping up where needed
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Previous experience in facilities coordination, maintenance, or customer service roles
- Comfortable with hands-on facilities tasks (manual handling, small repairs, general support)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Background in carpentry or handy person services
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability in SLA-driven environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable:
- Prior experience in aviation, government, or corporate real estate
- Trade background or experience
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (Manhattan preferred)
