About The Role:
The Retail & QSR Manager plays a vital leadership role in the daily operations of the Tin Building's Quick Service counters, Non-Perishables Market, Front End, and Ice Cream Shop. Reporting directly to the AGM, this position is hands-on, floor-focused, and responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while achieving operational excellence, staff development, and financial targets.
This role blends strategic execution with frontline leadership — setting the tone for a culture of hospitality, efficiency, and high performance.
What You Will Do
· Partner with the General Manager and AGM to execute strategic goals for service, staffing, and operations.
· Inspire and lead FOH teams with a unified vision to exceed service and sales standards.
· Drive team performance through on-the-floor coaching, mentoring, and direct feedback.
· Lead weekly manager meetings and execute pre-shift initiatives to align teams.
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
· Maintain a talent pipeline by identifying, hiring, training, and developing high-potential team members.
· Manage FOH scheduling in line with labor goals and service demand.
· Ensure consistent execution of food, beverage, merchandising, and hospitality standards aligned with the Tin Building’s values.
· Lead by example in delivering warm, efficient, and knowledgeable customer service across all assigned departments.
· Actively engage with guests during service to build loyalty and gather direct feedback.
· Ensure product presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation standards (DOH compliance) are maintained.
· Maintain accurate and timely inventory levels, manage ordering, receiving, waste control, and maintain documentation for financial accuracy.
· Oversee cash handling procedures and support Front End operations including voids, returns, and reconciliations.
· Monitor sales performance and labor efficiency daily, ensuring alignment with budgets and financial goals.
· Support execution of promotional and seasonal programs to drive sales and customer engagement.
· Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives.
· Work closely with F&B, Marketing, and Facilities teams to ensure operational cohesion and brand consistency.
· Communicate clearly and consistently across departments, ensuring seamless service and guest experience.
· Performs other duties as assigned or required
About You:
· Minimum 5+ years of management experience in a high-volume QSR or hybrid retail environment or upscale food hall model preferred.
· Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate cross-functional teams. Track record of achieving financial targets and service excellence in fast-paced operations.
· Excellent communication skills—both verbal and digital.
· Highly adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure.
· Hands-on leadership style with an eye for detail and quality.
· Experience with scheduling, inventory, POS systems.
· Passion for hospitality, food, and elevating the customer experience.
· Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to stand for extended periods and move about the store frequently.
· Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
· Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the store. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
· Climbing steps regularly.
Compensation range: $65,000 – $75,000 per year
